Confirm the framing spec — stud gauge, stud spacing, deflection track at head. Confirm the board type in each zone — moisture-resistant in wet areas, fire-rated where required, sound-rated where specified. Confirm the finish level — 4 or 5 — for each area. Confirm the ceiling system — grid, acoustic tile spec, height. Ask about blocking and backing coordination. Ask for two Austin commercial references and inspect the finish work in person if you can. A drywall sub who takes pride in level-5 finish makes every trade after look better.
